Editor tidak bisa menjawab langsung karena perbedaan sistem pendidikan di Inggris dan Indonesia. Misalnya di Inggris sistem pendidikan mulai dari Sekolah Dasar enam tahun, SMP-SMA disatukan menjadi secondary schol selama lima tahun. Pada tahun keenam yang setara dengan Kelas 3 SMA, seorang siswa biasanya masuk di tahapan pendidikan berikutnya College selama dua tahun. Bisa dikatakan College ini masa persiapan Universitas.

Jadi seorang lulusan SMA di Indonesia seharusnya mengikuti dulu satu tahun College di Inggris atau persamaannya. Dengan sistema seperti ini tidak mudah bagi lulusan SMA langsung masuk ke universitas di Inggris apalagi mendapatkan bea siswa. Seorang siswa/siswi di Indonesia harus lulus dulu tahapan College di Inggris, kecuali mungkin untuk kasus tertentu.

Editor berpendapat, lulus S1 kemudian mencari bea siswa S2 lebih mudah daripada harus masuk College dulu karena biasanya langka beasiswa. Mengapa? College itu sistem pendidikan unik di Inggris yang berbeda dengan Indonesia.

Kembali ke pertanyaan apakah mungkin lulusan SMA mendapatkan bea siswa di Inggris? Jawabannya hampir dikatakan sulit meskipun tidak mustahil mendapat bea siswa College dulu. Kasus ini memang langka terjadi, biasanya mereka yang mau masuk S1 dengan membayar sendiripun harus menempuh ujian persamaan yang tidak mudah ditembus pula.
