Established in commemoration of Nicholas Hans, a distinguished scholar in Comparative Education at the University of London, this award is presented to one doctoral student working towards a PhD in Comparative Education at the Institute of Education. The scholarship is competitive and tenable for one year only. It will cover a substantial proportion of the full-time tuition fee at the Institute and is at present available only to registered Institute students. Any change in the entry criteria will be posted on our web site. The scholarship, which is awarded through competition, is open to candidates not normally resident in the United Kingdom.
